To all of the local bowlers that finished in any the top ten positions at the Pennsylvania State Tournament. Congratulations and thank you for representing the bowlers of the Altoona District. The Altoona district bowling association will pay for your bowling sanction this year. So you will need to contact Ken Poorman, he needs info on what event you placed in and what league you normally would pay your sanction in.
Congratulations to Scott Franco, Ralph E Hamilton and Larry E Rupp. These gentlemen have been part of the bowling community for many years and have taught many of us a thing or two.When you see them on the bowling lanes this fall, be sure to congratulate them on their achievement.
The three recipients in this years scholarship program are, Megan Kutruff, Kayla Letscher, and Nicole Watt. We wish these young ladies a lot of success in their higher education that will help them lead to a prosperous career.

Thanks to everyone that came out and competed in this tournament. You helped to make this an enjoyable event. There was many good scores and a few bad ones, but overall it was a nice showing of good bowlers in the area. It will be several weeks until everything is finalized. We have posted the current leaders for each event on the tournament page for now. Once everything is finalized we will post all of the results.
The tournament has started with some big scores in the 1st weekend. We have started to post the current leaders in the tournament on our tournament page. There is only one more weekend left to bowl in it. If your are interested in bowling this weekend please contact Ken Poorman ASAP. We will be at Holiday bowl tomorrow night for squads 13 & 14. So get your teams signed up tomorrow night for this weekend. We will not accept any walk in signups for the same day.
The 200 Club on March 28th has been sold out. Although this year we are selling Guest Tickets. They cost $25 a ticket and admits 1 person to our 200 club to enjoy in all of the festivities except the actual raffle. So for $25 you get a very good meal, all the beer you can drink to cure your thirst, and a nice dance after the raffle. During the raffle you can even buy chances at our gift baskets, 50/50 and chances for the last ticket drawing. If you enjoy playing pull tab tickets there will be plenty of them to play also. So if your thinking about going to this event, you better act soon. The last day to purchase a guest ticket will be Friday March 20th.
